Mule-Hide Manufacturing

Mule-Hide Manufacturing, located in Cornell, WI manufactures and sells heavy gauge paper (dry-felt) used in the production of asphalt saturated felt and as a facer material used in the production of rigid insulation panels. Our sole plant in Cornell, WI was built in 1911 and has had several owners since joining the ABC Supply family in April of 2002. We employ approximately 80 people and run a 24 hour/day and a 7 day/week operation. We supply most of the major asphalt saturators and to several polyiso plants in North America. Our three major raw materials are recycled cardboard, recycled newspaper, and wood chips. We recycle approximately 50,000 tons of old cardboard and newspaper each year. We have implemented Lean Manufacturing Principles in the plant and utilize Six Sigma methodology to solve problems, reduce variation, and eliminate waste.
